As with any storage system, the virtual battery<\/strong> performs a dual process: charging and discharging. Let's take a closer look at how they work. When you feed your surpluses into the grid, the first thing Eficonsulting<\/strong> will do is assign them an economic value, meaning you don\u2019t accumulate energy in kWh but in \u20ac. This monetization of surpluses is set at the price of the surplus in the wholesale market POOL. Once the value of the surpluses fed exceeds the maximum amount that Eficonsulting<\/strong> can compensate you for in that month's bill, they will be loaded into the virtual battery<\/strong>. With the surpluses accumulated in \u20ac in the virtual battery<\/strong>, they will first cover the bill for that month linked to the photovoltaic installation<\/strong>. After that, the surpluses can be compensated at other supply points of the same client linked to Eficonsulting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The surplus compensation self-consumption model means that the energy produced by your solar panels<\/strong> and not consumed can be fed into the public grid. In exchange, and after signing a contract, the energy supplier will compensate you for these surpluses on the consumption part of your electricity bill<\/strong>. As we mentioned, the compensation limit is when your consumption reaches 0\u20ac. The rest of the electricity you feed in will benefit the energy supplier. And just because your consumption is 0\u20ac, it doesn't mean the bill will be 0, as you will still have to pay fixed costs (fees, charges\u2026).
